Title: ECHR
Post by Moleboy on Nov 4th, 2005 at 5:57pm
Hi people,

I recieved an interview from Law Firm X today, inviting me to interview next week. I have to prepare a ten min talk on how the ECHR will affect my clients, who are a national food retailing business.

Can anyone give me some tips, ie what sources to look up or where to start my search? i've never done ECHR stuff before

It might be a good idea to begin by actually having a look at the ECHR, but you also have to look at the Human Rights Act 1998.  But that's only a starting point

I'm a little confused though, why have you not studied the ECHR?

Yes, I agree.  An up to date Scots law book should give you a good a overview.  Scottish Legal System by White is a good starting point.  Do a google and have a look at www.coe.int.
