A question about Scottish Law fom Russian student
Mar 14th, 2004 at 7:59pm

My name is Semin Iaroslav. I'm a student of Saint-Petersburg State University(Law faculty). I'm really interested in legal system of Scotland and I m going to write my scientific work about Evolution of Scottish Government Bodies and Court System. I find these them very interesting and fascinating because there are a lot of books and materials about England, but not about Scotland (in spite of Scottish legal system is quite different from English). I think, that this theme is not enough studied in Russia. The only materials you can find here are about last changes, concerning Scottish Parliament, or a lot of information about the present Scottish court system. But I m interested in evolution of Scottish Court System, I mean what was before the Union of 1707 and what was after it?.. I ask you for advice. Maybe you can help me to find some materials about my theme. I will be glad to receive any information from you on my e-mail (iaroslav_s@mail.ru). Sorry for my English Best regards, Semin Iaroslav
