Traineeship- interview?
Sep 21st, 2005 at 6:51pm
Hiya! I am new to the site but was wondering if any of you could give me a bit of advice. Smiley. I had an interview with Shep and Wed about a week and a half ago and did the verbal and numeric reasoning tests, they were bad!! I havent still heard back from them about whats happening and was wondering if you think that this is a bad sign? I called last week and they said that they would be in touch at the beggining of this week but I still havent heard anything. should i call/email again?

Its really difficult to say anything useful here.

It could look as if you haven't got it but then again they could still be deciding.  In either case it could be better to leave it and wait for them to contact you but then in both cases it is generally better for your own sanity if you find!

My inclination is that you haven't got the job.  I'm basing that  purely on my own pretty limited experience though and not of shepherds either.  I just have a feeling that if you were a definite 'yes' they would have told you sooner.

I really could be wrong on that front though because I know of firms that save the decision up until they've seen all the interviewees and then decide.

My only useful tip (although others may disagree) is to call rather than e-mail them.  And I don't see any harm in calling tomorrow - don't be pushy or sound annoyed or put-out though!
