allowances

hi can anyone help with this problem
woman was bullied and threatened with violence at work her employer found the man guilty but refused to remove him from the shift
the constant worry and pressure made her ill and she was told she could move to another shift and take her allowance with her
she did this and after 3 months the company stopped paying her allowance. it was a verbal agreement not a written one and the company honored the payment is she legally entitled to have the allowance reinstated
