I wondered if the LLB has an expiry date and secondly, how it is looked upon if an LLB graduate has another career for a few years (maybe 5) and then returns to do the diploma and traineeship. At this moment in my life, I do not want to do the diploma, which looks incredibly boring or a traineeship, the majority of which also look boring. However, at some point in the future it may be beneficial for me to return and qualify or I might change my mind.

I'm not sure if this rule still applies but it used to be the case that you had ten years after getting an Llb to do the diploma after which you have to start again. Check with the Law Society and they will keep you right.
