DIPLOMA IN LEGAL PRACTICE EXPIRY
Sep 28th, 2009, 4:19pm

I commenced the diploma in legal practice in 2008 and completed it in 2009.  I am confused as to the life span of the DLP??  Must I secure a traineeship for 2010 or will my DLP still be valid for the intake of 2011 trainees?  Any advice much appreciated!!!!

Get in touch with the Law Society. Default position is 2 years, but they have been making exceptions recently because of the economic situation. It's harder to get it extended beyond 2 years though as you have to demonstrate that you have been making the effort to keep your legal knowledge up to date.
