Partnership Problem?
Dec 16th, 2002 at 5:51pm

My wife and 6 other ladies each put 2000 into a new business 6 weeks ago. They were the only people involved. There was nothing in writing but everyone agreed that if a partner wanted out, they would have to wait for thier monies to be refundedas and when the business was making profits. So far so good! One of the partners let the business be run from a derelict barn that they all helped to renovate for that purpose.

The owner, her daughter and daughterinlaw wanted out and she told my wife and the other ladies to do what they want with the stock. So they moved most of it before she changed her mind and locked the barn retaing all the horse feeds and refusing to release it untill she got 4000 back PDQ.In efeect preventing the business from trading. Wher do my wife and the other 3 remaining partners now stand????

I would appreciate any help on this one as they all have worked tremendously hard on this venture. Oh another point is that the business paid 1000 to have electrics put in the barn and many free hours of labour saving literally 1000`s. Of course the owner of the barn now has all that.

Thankx in anticipation  Smiley
