Accelerated LLB - questions, questions
Aug 17th, 2004 at 10:28am
I am going to apply for a graduate accelerated LLB and would appreciate some help on the application process.

Concerning the UCAS personal statement, I am worried that I will have to justify the fact that I didn't do an undergrad law degree in the first instance. While I loved my first degree and think it has set me up ideally for the LLB I am slightly worried that I will just look indecisive and that it will go against me. Do I need to justify the fact that I didn't do a law degree first or should I just not even mention this (obv it will be glaringly obv from my application!)

Does anyone have any info about this?

Also, for anyone who has done the course - how did they fund it?

Many thanks!

Don't worry about the UCAS statement -- I did the accelerated LL.B back in 2001 and didn't mention not doing Law.

Funding can be difficult -- apply for a low interest bank loan (tip: avoid BOS & RBOS). and supplement this with applications to educational trusts/bursaries.

It ain't cheap, but it's a great degree to have... but remember that the Diploma isn't far away, and this will cost another 3,750 (+ 200 for your books).

To get qualified is expensive, but worth it.
