BT Business Services

Whether you are a small or large firm, BT offer a wide range of communication services to suit your needs. Most competitors attempt to undersell BT so it is a good idea to shop around first. You can compare the prices of fixed line providers at uswitch.

Hays DX

The Document Exchange service is commonly used across Scotland by law firms. To find out more visit the site, call 0845 7 58 53 25 or use their contact form. If you have a problem with mail delivery then check this page to see if there is an explanation, call their customer service on 08705 22 23 24 or email them at info@haysdx.co.uk.

Legal Post

Scotland's National Document Exchange Service. To contact them by post use: The Legal Post (Scotland) Ltd LP 1, Rosyth Unit 2, Forties Gateway, Rosyth Europarc, Fife KY11 2WP; by telephone use 01383 826 726; by fax use 01383 826 727; and by email use mail@legalpost.co.uk. To find the LP (Legal Post) address of a member, use their online directory.

NTL Business Services

NTL also offer a wide range of services for businesses covering all aspects of communication. Speaking only from personal experience of NTL, their customer support is terrible (long delays when trying to reach them and quite unhelpful responses when you finally do get through). Having said that, their pricing structure and service is normally quite good though so you will have to decide which is more important to you. Again from personal experience: If you are with NTL I recommend that if, by some miracle, you find a helpful person in customer support, note their name and always ask to be put through to them when you call again.

Royal Mail

Regardless of which of the two above postal services you use, the Royal Mail is still used by many law firms. Their site has useful tools including postcode and address finders which I have placed in the "Tools" section below. There is also a "Track and Trace" tool so that you can monitor the progress of special and recorded delivery items. The "Postal Calculator" is also a useful tool to help you work out the cost of postage and also when an item will get to its destination. Also, you can find your nearest Post Office by clicking here.
